Rhinoplasty

Plastic surgeries have become very popular nowadays. Due to health-related conditions or aesthetic concerns, people undergo plastic surgery operations. Nose aesthetic surgeries are among the most performed procedures among aesthetic operations. Damage to the nasal bone and tissue structure due to congenital nose structure or subsequent accidents may require nose surgery. While some patients are operated for this purpose only for health problems such as enlarged nose and sinusitis, some patients have plastic surgery due to their arched nose structure. In line with the needs of the people, nose surgeries take between 1 and 3 hours. In some cases, this period may be extended depending on the method applied. In some patients, the desired result is obtained by rasping only the tip of the nose or the bone, while in some patients, this procedure is completed by placing the tissue taken from the ear, rib or other regions in the nose area. As in other surgical procedures, there are different methods in rhinoplasty operations. Although there are different methods, the main purpose is to meet the needs of the patient in terms of aesthetics and health. As in every surgical operation, there is no miraculous approach in nose surgery. The important thing is to basically solve the existing nasal problems. At this point, the most important point that patients should pay attention to will be the selection of the right experienced doctor. Techniques used according to need in rhinoplasty surgeries are;

Microrhinoplasty

This technique is suitable for patients who have a small amount of deformity on the back of the nose and whose upper part is not wide. In line with the technique, it is applied as shaping the back of the nose with a special shaving method with incisions made from the inside of the nose. Choosing the right doctor is as important as applying this technique to the right patients. This method may not be suitable for every patient. With this technique, it is possible to give the tip of the nose a round shape. Since the surgical procedure is limited in this technique, the recovery time is also very short. After the operation, there is not much swelling and only a small amount of bruising is experienced around the eyes.

Nose Tip Plastic Surgery

Nose tip surgery; While there is no problem in the bony structure of the nose, the surgical procedure performed only to correct the deformities in the cartilage structure at the tip of the nose is called nasal tip aesthetics. It is applied to correct the low nasal tip and asymmetrical appearance, full or small nose tip, and cartilages that narrow the nasal wings. Nasal tip surgery, which is preferred by patients who do not have a general nose problem, has a higher recovery rate than other methods. Since only the cartilage tissue at the tip of the nose is intervened in the operation, it will be sufficient to stay in the bandage for about 1 week. Patients can usually return to their social and work life within a few days. Since the operation is performed only on the tip of the nose, there is not much swelling, only slight bruising is experienced around the eyes.

Piezo Nose Surgery

The technique, which was previously used for oral and dental health, has also been used in nasal aesthetic operations. The main purpose of the technique is to shape it on the nasal bone with the ultrasonic waves it emits. The most advantageous aspect of the technique is that, as in other techniques, problems such as cuts and bleeding are not experienced. Since the bone structure is tried to be corrected with vibrations in the piezo technique, the soft tissue is not damaged, thus swelling and bruises do not occur. The resulting edema passes in a short time.

Dorsum Sparing Surgery Technique

This technique is basically applied by determining the cartilage, bone and soft tissue formed in the nose as 3 basic layers and interfering with either the first and second layers or the third layer. In the first method, the width and height problems affecting the outer surface determined as the first layer are corrected. Curvatures on the outer wall are corrected with this method.

In the second method, corrections are made in the inner parts of the nose without making any changes in the outer wall of the nose. In order to apply the second method, the first layer of the nose should not have any width, curvature or height, and the nasal ridge should be smooth. As with all techniques, the important thing in these techniques is to respond to the patient’s needs and meet their expectations. However, as we mentioned before, it is not right to expect a miracle change from every surgical operation. The important thing is to get the best result suitable for the patient’s face with an experienced doctor and to be healthy is always a priority.

Open Nose Surgery

With open nose surgery, which is one of the most preferred methods to intervene in damage to the nasal tip, bone structure or inside the nose, the risk of nasal tip shaping, nasal tip drooping or nasal tip septum shift is less. Whether the patient has had a nose surgery before, the structure of the nose tip and the surgeon’s experience are among the factors affecting the surgery. In this technique, since the nose is completely dominated, the solution of problems such as cartilage, bone and flesh growth in the nose is more comfortable. The surgeries performed with this technique are a little more difficult to heal compared to other techniques. The incisions opened on the sides of the nose will heal within 1 or 2 months with regular use of drugs and creams.

Closed Nose Surgery

Closed nose surgery is the ideal technique for patients whose problem is not the tip of the nose and the septum, but the main problem is a bony appearance that causes an arched appearance in the nose. Closed nose surgery technique is also applied to patients who need minor corrections from their previous surgery. In this technique, the deformity of the nasal dorsum is corrected with incisions made from the inside of the nose. Recovery time is much shorter in closed nose surgery. While there is less swelling and bruising, edema may occur at the tip of the nose for a while.
